📅 2-Day Summit Itinerary

(Fast & intense – for fit adventurers with prior altitude experience)

DAY 1: San Pedro de Atacama → Base Camp

 

  • 09:00: Gear check. Depart San Pedro (2,400m) in 4x4 toward the Mountain Refuge.

  • 11:00: Acclimatization lecture.

  • 13:00: Lunch.

  • 15:00: Light hike around the Lake Laguna Verde (4,300m).

  • 18:00: Early dinner.

DAY 2: Summit Push → Return

  • 01:00: Pre-dawn alpine start.

  • 04:30: Reach “The Window” (5,400m) – watch sunrise over Bolivia.

  • 07:00SUMMIT (5,920m): Toast with coca tea beside the emerald summit crater lake.

  • 10:00: Descend to vehicles.

  • 14:00: Return to San Pedro.

    Border: Straddles Chile (Atacama Desert) and Bolivia (Eduardo Avaroa Reserve). Its necessary to cross into Bolivia.
